Anchorage police kill ‘aggressive’ bear

Saturday afternoon the Anchorage Police Department notified the public that they put down a bear that was getting into trash in east Anchorage.
The agency provided few other details immediately, only that the bear was showing aggressive behavior near the 5200 block of Chena Avenue. APD said no one was injured by the bear.
