Alaska Zoo’s polar bears back online thanks to camera donation

Two polar bears are ready for their closeup now — or at least for a live web stream from the Alaska Zoo. In a joint statement on Thursday, the zoo and GCI announced the return of the Polar Bear Cam, featuring Ahpun and Lyutyik.
“The live Polar Bear Cam is very popular with zoo fans and is an important tool to teach the public about polar bear behavior,” Alaska Zoo executive director Patrick Lampi said in the statement.
