Alaska underwater gas leak continues, 2nd group to sue

A leak in an underwater pipeline continues to spew natural gas into Alaska’s Cook Inlet and a second environmental group has given required 60-day notice that it will sue the pipeline’s owner.
The gas was first spotted Feb. 7 bubbling from an 8-inch pipeline owned by Hilcorp Alaska, LLC.
The company’s consultants say tiny amounts of natural gas are dissolving in the water.
