Alaska State Trooper involved in shooting near Nikiski

An Alaska State Trooper was involved in a shooting Wednesday afternoon near Nikiski, spokesperson Megan Peters confirmed in an email.
She gave few additional details surrounding the incident, but said troopers were “working on getting more information confirmed and posted.”
According to a report from the Peninsula Clarion, the Nikiski Fire Department responded to the incident near the Kenai Spur Highway shortly before 1 p.m.
Deputy Chief Trent Burnett told the Clarion that responders
