Alaska politicians react to Trump victory

While Democrats have gained power in the state house, Donald Trump’s upset victory in the presidential race left Republicans at the national level in control of both the White House and Congress.
Alaska voters went for Trump over Hillary Clinton 51 percent to 37 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson took just under 6 percent.
Republicans U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski and Representative Don Young also won their races by wide margins.
Trump supporters greeted the news of his election with rapturou
