Alaska municipalities blame legislature — not Walker — for PFD cut

Leaders from every corner of the state packed into one room Thursday for the Alaska Municipal League’s (AML) annual conference. They discussed everything from budgets to homelessness and heroin. But when it comes to this year’s Alaska Permanent Fund dividend cut, few members are outraged.
In fact, many blame the state Legislature — not Gov. Bill Walker for his veto of half of the funds.
“We are of the strong belief that the Legislature really needs to look at new revenues
