Alaska House protects VPSO, Power Cost Equalization programs

Legislators in the Alaska House plowed through more than 100 amendments to the state operating budget last week, according to a story published by KYUK Public Media. The House majority defeated attempts to cut the Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO) program, the Power Cost Equalization (PCE) program and public broadcasting.
