AITRC signs agreement with Interior Department for input on hunting rules

An Alaska tribal group will now have a say in how critical subsistence game is harvested.
On Tuesday, the Ahtna Inter-Tribal Resource Commission (AITRC) signed an agreement with the U.S. Department of the Interior. The agreement allows input from tribal members on rules for moose and caribou hunting on federal land in the Ahtna region, which is in Southcentral Alaska.
