AFD fireman injured in training accident improving, family says

The family of an Anchorage firefighter who was seriously injured in a training accident on Monday says he’s showing signs of improvement.
Monday night, the Anchorage Fire Department said one of their firemen sustained a serious injury while participating in a training exercise. The injury left him in critical condition at a local hospital.
