AEDC: Continued job loss expected, but businesses feeling confident in 2017

At a time of financial hardship, 1,500 Anchorage business members gathered Wednesday to hear the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation’s (AEDC) predictions for 2017.
AEDC president Bill Popp said Anchorage lost 2,700 jobs in 2016 and is expected to lose another 2,200 jobs in 2017. That’s a total of three percent of all jobs.
