1 dead from Bear mauling in Bird Creek

Alaska State Troopers confirmed one person is dead after they were mauled by a bear in Bird Creek.
Troopers and other agencies are currently responding.
At 5:19 p.m., police sent a Nixle alert saying “APD appreciates the public’s patience while we respond along with AST and other agencies to a bear mauling in the Bird Creek Area.”
