Young anglers drop a line in Placentia

The lake at Tri-City Park in Placentia was stocked with some 2,000 pounds of catfish, giving young anglers a line-up during a fishing derby on Saturday, April 21.
The annual fishing derby is hosted by OC Parks to teach children about fishing. Instructors were around to answer questions and demonstrate how to cast a line.
The fishing was open to those 15 and younger and trophies were awarded for the biggest catches.
