Wrong-way driver killed when car slams into concrete divider, explodes on 91 Freeway in Anaheim

A wrong-way driver was killed early Sunday when their car struck a concrete center divider on the 91 Freeway and exploded, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.
The car was burned beyond recognition.
The CHP received a call at 4:43 a.m. about a car that was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the 91, CHP Dispatcher Rigsby said. One caller said they saw the car get on the wrong way at Lakeview Avenue in Anaheim Hills.
