Women of Coast 2019

“Shine theory.” It’s a term coined by journalists Aminatou Sow and Ann Friedman to describe a practice of mutual investment among women, a commitment to collaborating and lifting each other up. The premise is, “I don’t shine if you don’t shine.”
Never heard of it? Frankly we hadn’t either when we began Women of Coast in 2018, but it happens to precisely describe our intention here.
