WNBA, players reach agreement on new contract
The WNBA and its players’ union have come to terms in principle on a new collective bargaining agreement that would nearly double the maximum salary for top players, improve travel accommodations and provide paid maternity leave.
The new deal promises to address those and other hot-button issues that motivated the WNBPA to opt out of the previous contract early, in November 2018, because of a desire to negotiate a new deal.
