Whittier exec named city manager for La Palma

Whittier, which has lost five department heads and its city manager in the last year, is now losing its director of community development to the Orange County city of La Palma.
Conal McNamara, who has been with Whittier since 2014, will take over as La Palma’s top executive, its city manager, on April 1. His last day at Whittier will be March 27.
