What’s the 2018 minimum wage?
California’s minimum wage — rising on Jan. 1, 2018, to $11 an hour at employers of 26 workers or more, and to $10.50 at smaller employers — will be the second highest of any state in the nation.
Washington’s pay floor jumps to $11.50 for all workers Jan. 1. Massachusetts’ minimum wage increases to $11 for non-tipped workers.
Twenty-nine states and the District of Columbia have wages higher than the federal floor of $7.25 an hour, which is unchanged since 2009.
