Western Digital lays off nearly 200 as restructuring continues

Irvine-based Western Digital is laying off 51 employees at its headquarters and 131 in San Jose, according to state filings.
Both layoffs are effective June 2.
Western Digital, a developer and manufacturer of hard drives and other storage systems, said it would provide severance packages.
