West Nile virus-infected mosquito found in Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA A mosquito infected with the West Nile Virus was recently discovered in Costa Mesa’s Fairview Park, the city said in a statement.
The mosquito was found by Orange County Mosquito & Vector Control District crews in a drainage ditch at the park’s south end during a routine inspection of mosquito traps in the area, said Tony Dodero, spokesman for the city.
