Weekend work on tracks will curb rail service south Orange County to Oceanside

If you noticed curtailed rail service between Oceanside and south Orange County last weekend, get ready for more.
Train schedules are being reduced or eliminated on select weekends for work on the tracks through the spring.
The next round will be the weekend of Jan. 20-21. Metrolink and Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner will offer limited bus service in lieu of trains that can’t use the affected stretch of track.
