Warning for July 4th beach revelers: Watch for big waves, high tides, rip currents, stingrays

Be warned: The sudden waves can knock you down, the strong ocean current can sweep you away, and watch your step — stingrays have been out in full force.
Getting to the beach early and grabbing a spot right at the shoreline on the Fourth of July might not be the best idea. A very high tide is expected to creep up during nighttime fireworks shows and could drench you and your belongings.
