Vons, Albertsons, Pavilions workers get $2 hourly raise during coronavirus outbreak

The parent company of the Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions stores in Southern California will pay its store workers an extra $2 an hour for at least one week amid the coronavirus crisis, a union leader said Friday.
The extra pay will reward workers who are putting in long and stressful hours to accommodate shoppers. Groceries are still seeing large crowds in their stores as consumers stock up under shelter-at-home orders from local and state officials.
