USC’s Bennie Boatwright details foot injury struggles

LOS ANGELES — After one of USC’s recent basketball practices, Bennie Boatwright was smiling as he ran from one sideline to another on a side gym court inside the Galen Center.
Several of the Trojans’ players headed to the locker room while Boatwright continued.
It was not punitive. The junior forward stayed for additional conditioning and what had become an increasingly rare opportunity in recent months — to run, pain-free.
