USC notebook: Olaijah Griffin making strong impression to open fall camp

LOS ANGELES — USC cornerback Olaijah Griffin missed all of spring practice due to a pair of shoulder surgeries. By the looks of the first two sessions of fall camp, you’d never know Griffin had missed so much time.
On the first day of practice Friday, Griffin punched a ball loose for a forced fumble, and then caught an interception, too. Then on Saturday, he read quarterback JT Daniels’ eyes and jumped a route for an interception that he returned for a touchdown.
