USC defensive lineman Jay Tufele keeping same mindset despite increased hype

LOS ANGELES — What a difference a year has made for USC defensive lineman Jay Tufele.
Following his redshirt season, Tufele entered the 2018 training camp just competing for his place in the defensive rotation. By the end of the year, though, he was named to the All-Pac-12 second team and earned Pac-12 Freshman Defensive Player of the Year honorable mention recognition.
