Up Close: Artistic Wunderkind Avalon Lafosse

Avalon Lafosse is hard to ignore, and it’s not just the pink hair.
You’d think maintaining a 4.38 GPA going into her senior year at Orange County School of the Arts would be enough to do, but not for Lafosse. She is the founder and creative director of Art for Relaxation Therapy (ART), a program she started when she was only 12 years old, aimed both at providing classes and mentoring for kids who can’t afford art courses and giving art supplies to kids in hospital who can use n
