University High students cheer assistant principal’s return from service in Afghanistan

University High Assistant Principal Kris Kough got a welcome from students he didn’t expect.
Students, along with school staff members, lined a main walkway Monday morning during their snack period cheering Kough as he walked the campus, having just returned to work following a nearly year-long deployment in Afghanistan.
The Army National Guard colonel spend 10 months in Kandahar as a military adviser to the Afghanistan National Army.
