University earns much-needed win over Beckman, but it’s not easy

TUSTIN – University kept its hopes alive to qualify for the CIF-SS Division 10 playoffs with a 35-21 Pacific Coast League victory over Beckman on Thursday night at Tustin High.
The Trojans would wind up in a tie for third place with Irvine and Northwood in the PCL if Northwood upsets Irvine on Friday night, which would force a coin flip. It’s also possible University could earn an at-large berth.
