UCLA’s Griffin Canning shuts out Oregon with 10 strikeouts

EUGENE, Ore. – UCLA right-hander Griffin Canning scattered four hits and struck out 10 in a 6-0 shutout victory over Oregon on Thursday night.
Canning (7-3), a former Santa Margarita High standout, recorded his sixth win in conference play and posted his third shutout of the season, all on the road. The junior walked two.
Canning, who is considered a probable first-round pick in next month’s major league amateur draft, has 10 or more strikeouts in eight starts this season, inclu
