UCLA wraps up bye week practice without most assistants

LOS ANGELES — UCLA wrapped up its bye week schedule with a practice Friday, but carried on without many of the assistant coaches, as they are likely spending their weekends recruiting.
It appeared that defensive coordinator Jerry Azzinaro was the only assistant coach on the field Friday morning as it was mostly graduate assistants working with players. Azzinaro, a former defensive line coach, worked with the defensive linemen and outside linebackers during the open viewing period.
