UCLA notebook: Josh Woods out for year with shoulder injury

SEATTLE — UCLA’s thinnest position on defense got thinner as linebacker Josh Woods will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery Tuesday, Coach Jim Mora announced Saturday after UCLA’s 44-23 loss to Washington.
