UCLA gymnastics mark debut under head coach Chris Waller at Collegiate Challenge
Chris Waller never expected he’d be a head coach. In fact, after graduating from UCLA in 1991, he had his dreams set on becoming a teacher.
But life, as it often does, had other plans for the former Olympian and longtime UCLA assistant coach.
On May 8, Waller was named the Bruins’ head coach following the retirement of Valorie Kondos Field after she led the program to seven national titles in 29 years.
