UCLA baseball takes advantage of USC errors in comeback win
LOS ANGELES — Chris Clarke bit his glove by the mound in a moment of frustration.
With the USC and UCLA baseball teams tied 4-4 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Clarke had scooped up a slow-moving ground ball near the third-base line and fired a throw toward Jamal O’Guinn, the Trojans’ first baseman. It represented a potential inning-ending play, but Clarke’s throw pulled O’Guinn off the bag.
