UC Santa Barbara hands Cal State Fullerton its first conference loss

SANTA BARBARA — The Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball team had a chance to do something it hadn’t done in nearly 40 years on Wednesday night, but a UC Santa Barbara team that hasn’t lost a home game all season quickly squelched that idea.
Max Heidegger scored 24 points and UCSB dealt Fullerton its first Big West Conference loss, 83-64 on Wednesday night. The Titans were trying to start 5-0 in conference play for the first time in 39 years.
