UC Irvine offense explodes for 82 points to top UC Riverside, stay atop Big West standings

IRVINE — With Wednesday’s one-point win over Hawaii, UC Irvine improved to 6-0 this season in games decided by five or fewer points. The Anteaters spared their fans any further anxiety on Saturday.
Instead, UC Irvine took the easy route, coasting to an 82-64 win over UC Riverside. The Anteaters (17-5) improved to 5-1 in Big West play and held onto first place in the conference, while UCR fell to 8-14 and 2-4 in conference play.
