UC Irvine crushes Cal Poly, moves closer to Big West title

IRVINE — Jonathan Galloway matched his season high with 14 points and Max Hazzard had 14 points and five assists as UC Irvine won its ninth straight game Thursday night, crushing Cal Poly 74-47 to take another step toward the Big West Conference regular-season title.
The Anteaters (23-5 overall, 11-1 Big West) have a two-game lead over Cal State Fullerton (9-3 Big West) with four games left in the regular season.
