UC Irvine barely holds on to defeat Cal Poly

IRVINE — The UC Irvine men’s basketball team hasn’t lost many Big West Conference games the past two seasons. The Anteaters went 15-1 in conference play a season ago, won the tournament title and were undefeated this season in the Big West before losing Wednesday at Long Beach State.
Therefore, it figured to be interesting to see how the Anteaters reacted to that when they squared off with Cal Poly on Saturday night.
