Tustin council approves pilot program for organic pest control at two parks

Tustin has decided to test the waters of an “organics first” policy rather than dive in headfirst.
After meetings with anti-pesticide group Non Toxic Irvine, which has expanded its efforts to other cities, City Councilman Chuck Puckett put the item on the agenda for Tuesday, Sept. 19.
In 2016, Irvine became the first Orange County city to adopt a landscaping and pest control policy that allows synthetic pesticides only as a last resort.
