Trust issues at root of Long Beach State’s loss to Pacific

LONG BEACH — Long Beach State on Saturday afternoon entered its basketball game against Pacific as a rather decent shooting team – 46.7 percent overall from the field, 36.2 percent from 3-point range.
That marksmanship was not there against the hard-playing Tigers. Consequently, Pacific came away with a 65-46 victory over LBSU at Walter Pyramid.
Long Beach (3-7) shot just 31.5 percent (17 for 54) overall, including 30 percent (3 for 10) from beyond the arc.
