Thieves steal drugs from Irvine pharmacy

Two burglars broke into an Irvine pharmacy early Friday, Aug. 18, and made off with a quantity of medication, police said.
The theft occurred around 1:10 a.m. at a Walgreens in the 6300 block of Irvine Boulevard,  Lt. John Condon said.
The burglars, who wore hoodies, pried open a front door, smashed a window to the pharmacy and then stole medicine.
They only remained inside for about two minutes and were gone when police, alerted by a security alarm company, arrived, Condon said.
