THE GAME: The Angels managed just three hits in a 7-0 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Saturday afternoon in Peoria. Most of the Angels’ everyday players had the day off.
PITCHING REPORT: Left-hander John Lamb, who got the assignment because the Angels gave their other starters an extra day of rest this time through the order, gave up five runs in three innings.
