Temporary rent control measure postponed
A planned vote to impose rent control temporarily on older apartments in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles has been postponed, possibly until September, a staff member for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors said.
The proposed 3 percent cap on apartment rents for six months was on the agenda for the board’s next meeting on Tuesday, July 31. A reason for postponing the item wasn’t given.
