Teaching kids financial literacy

When I was a teenager, my friend Brenda and I worked in the unsupervised mailroom of an office, compiling mailers and using valuable company time to call radio stations to request “Riders on the Storm” by The Doors. We made, maybe, 3 bucks an hour. When we got our double-digit paychecks, Brenda had to save half of hers while I was free to blow all of mine on records.
