Tailgate Fest gets off to a hot start in Eastvale

Saturday was the time to “let them tailgates down” in Eastvale, in the words of a hit by country star Brantley Gilbert.
The occasion was the Tailgate Fest, the headliner was Gilbert, and the tune is “Small Town Throwdown.”
Eastvale is not exactly a small town. It’s a city of 64,000 on the west end of Riverside County. But otherwise the setting fit the lyrics.
