Surfer dies at Topanga State Beach

MALIBU — A man who went surfing at night died of an apparent medical emergency at Topanga State Beach, authorities said Friday.
The man was pronounced dead at the beach about 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Information was not immediately available on his identity or age.
