Support later school start times for California students
It was a classically Sacramento moment late last week, the usual mad rush in the Legislature to pass proposed laws before the Friday deadline. Nothing measured about this body. Too many bad bills were sent out.
But it was always thus. And by sending out, we refer to the fact that there is one more quite crucial step in the lawmaking process. These successful bills won’t go into effect without Gov. Jerry Brown’s signature. And the governor is tasked with reviewing many dozens of them.
