Summer’s first heat wave has arrived

Summer’s first heat wave landed in Southern California on Thursday, and brought with it forecasts of triple-digit temperatures for stretches of the San Fernando Valley and the Inland Empire.
But while the heat will be noticeable through at least Wednesday, July 17, it’s not too far above average for this time of year, meteorologists said.
