Status Update: FedEx hiring at least 1,500 in region

FedEx is hiring across Southern California ahead of the holiday shopping season.
The pandemic and related lockdowns have driven many shoppers to online orders, pushing up demand for logistics-related jobs.
The first eight months of 2020 generated $497 billion in online sales, according to Adobe Analytics. In August alone, consumers spent $63 billion. The pandemic, Adobe says, added an extra $107 billion spent online.
