State Realtors predict ‘a weaker housing market’ in 2019

Unaffordable home prices coupled with rising mortgage rates are expected to create “a weaker housing market in 2019,” according to the California Association of Realtors forecast released Thursday, Oct. 11.
The Realtor forecast, unveiled at the state association’s annual conference in Long Beach, predicts California house sales will fall to their lowest level since 2014.
Buyers waiting for price drops, meanwhile, will be disappointed, the forecast said.
