State Department official joins race against Rep. Darrell Issa

Sara Jacobs, a State Department official in the Obama administration, on Thursday entered the pool of Democratic challengers to Republican congressman Darrell Issa, whose district that extends from Dana Point to La Jolla.
Jacobs, a 28-year-old Encinitas resident, said she’s focused on fixing an economic system in the country that’s increasing the divide between rich and poor.
